90 years of wood and furniture...
It all began in 1912 when Jens Christian Kilde started his apprenticeship as carpenter in Aulum, Denmark. At the beginning he was mostly involved in small repairs, but as time went on these little projects turned into bigger ones and included houses and even beehives and other equipment for bee keeping.
At the end of the 1940s, second generation, Knud Kilde took over the family business. In the 1950s production was focused on furniture frames and the most used and loved wardrobes for staff on farms etc. Throughout the 1960s the company was involved in very large building projects.
In the 1970 the third and present generation of the Kilde family joined. Herdis and Edmund Kilde initiated furniture production with emphasis on pine tables. In the 1980 this popular piece of furniture was successful worldwide and export constituted more than 80% of the overall turnover of the business and so the house construction activities ceased.
In 1998 the furniture production division of Kilde Concept was sold off. Today, Kilde Concept focuses on the sale of furniture accessories to manufacturers and large distributors and is one of Denmark's leading suppliers of these products.
Yours sincerely,
Kilde Concept
